The Growth & Learning team at Adobe commissioned a comic strip-style video series. The goal was to offer new Illustrator users a fun learning experience geared towards their natural inclination to play and explore. Through the gamified experience, users learn how to navigate the interface while mastering skills as they help Piper, the space explorer, along her journey on Planet Illustrator.

All of the fun illustrations were created in Adobe Illustrator. After Effects came into play to animate the illustrated characters, develop personality, depth, and support the learning modules' narrative. Camtasia Studio, alongside VideoScribe, was used to compose the final outputs and layer CTA buttons to add interactivity to the learning experience.

The illustrations live on the Adobe website and create a dynamic environment within the learning experience. They are also used in banners within Creative Cloud and the email campaign targeting the entire Adobe Illustrator user base. The project tests the new deep linking technology. By clicking inside the videos, the user will access illustrated artboards, to achieve tasks inside Adobe Illustrator.
